Treadmill: Console powers up but the treadmill won't start
Insert the safety key to start the treadmill; without the key, the treadmill powers up but won't start. If your treadmill has a magnetic safety key, place the key over the round area marked with a key icon to start the treadmill.
If the motor won't start with the safety key inserted, the motor, motor controller or console is defective.
These repairs may help solve your Treadmill problem:
Replace the console display
The console displays the elapsed time, distance traveled, estimated calories burned, current speed, and the user’s pulse. If the console doesn't work, replace the console display assembly.
Replace the motor
The motor spins the front belt roller to rotate the walking belt. If the motor is weak or defective, replace the motor.
Replace the motor control board
The electronic motor control board controls and monitors the speed. If the motor controller is defective, replace the motor controller.
